Q.  Hi Louise, Do you know any good value Friday evening brunches/buffets that include alcoholic drinks? I have my parents visiting this coming weekend and I don’t want to take them somewhere too boisterous where the focus is on the drinking not the eating but haven’t really been able to find anywhere for under 250Dhs. Thanks!

A. This is actually quite difficult as most of the deals are for brunch and not the evening but the Jumeirah Rotana do do a Mexican Friday deal for Dhs179 per person all inclusive. The Rotana Towers in their Flavours on Two Restaurant have an Italian night for the same price.

Q.  Hi Louise , Why cant i buy Heinz chicken soup anywhere in Dubai i used to be able to get it in Geant now and again but i cant find it anywhere now .

A. This is a very common problem in Dubai – last year for me it was Heinz Tomato Soup. Try Union Co-Op at Safa Park as I sometimes find when stocks run out in my normal haunts they still have stock. Good luck and I will keep my eye out for Heinz Chicken Soup!

Q.  I just moved to Dubai about a week ago; Do you know where I can find some pick up soccer games?

A.   Contact Soccerdubai 5’s. This is the largest 5 a side league in Dubai – every Monday & Wednesday. Contact info@soccerdubai.com
Also check out www.dubai.duplay.com for soccer.
