Q Hi again Louise, and thanks a lot for your answer about cost of living. This got me further ;o) Now we´re invited to Dubai for a couple of days, and want to check out where to live. Do you have any suggestions where? – danish family with 3 children aged 3 to 13 years. We like it nice and quiet, but still with some activity. Q What does one need to get married in Dubai? Do they have to be a resident? what paperwork do we need if we are both Muslims and only one of us is a resident and the other is on a visit visa?

A If you check out the local government website they have up to date information on getting married in Dubai www.dubai.ae go to the citizens section where it has a section on getting married. It states “For expatriates, spouses should have valid Dubai residence visas. In case one of the spouses is on a visit visa, he/she must undergo a medical examination in Dubai before their marriage.”
