If you are living in Dubai, it may be useful to know that children below the age of five years are subject to a considerable risk of drowning. It is common in Dubai to have a swimming pool in your backyard, or to spend an afternoon at Kite Beach playing in the water. The chances of drowning increase when your child, who is completely untrained in swimming, is invited to a friend’s pool party. Due to this, it becomes important to organize swimming classes for your little kids to prevent any kind of accident.
Dubai counts more than 40 swimming schools. However, not all of them can be compared in quality. And most of the time, going to the closest one might not be the best choice. A little research is required to be done for selecting the best swimming school in the area. So, while selecting an appropriate swimming institute for your little ones, you must ensure the following factors.
1. Look for the student/teacher ratio
Many swimming institutions work with a mere objective to enroll more and more children for their swimming classes. As a result, it becomes complicated for the swimming instructor to give to personal attention to every child present out there. In order to be more confident about the safety and security of your children, you must check for the student-instructor ratio (how many students per class) which should be no more than 5:1. However, the ideal student/ teacher ratio is supposed to be 3:1.
2. Patient and Inspiring coach
The coach is an integral part of any training process. If he masters efficacious skills along with a pleasing personality, your child is half way through the learning. On the other hand, if he is ruthless or becomes impatient easily, it’s the right time to say a big NO to that institute. A toddler demands true motivation and direction, which can be delivered only by an instructor who possesses great patience. Further, the skills of the instructor can be verified by taking a look at his certifications. This is a mere way to check if your child is going to get an authenticated swimming teacher or not.
3. Temperature Controlled Pool
While deciding for the reputed swimming school for your kids, another aspect that you need to consider revolves around temperature controlled pool. Whether the pool is located indoor or outdoor, an accurate measure of curbing temperature should be strictly followed and implemented by the schools. If this approach is being followed by the institute which is already complying with your standards, don’t forget to include it in your ‘Favorites’ list.
4. Make sure you can park your car close to the pool
It is mostly seen that most of the swimming schools in Dubai fail to provide convenient parking facility. If you are taking up your child to some swimming institute and don’t find space for parking up your vehicle, things turn out to be messy anyhow. To save yourself from this, it would be better to opt for the school that offers you amazing conveyance parking services.
5. Professionalism of the school
Swim School professionalism can be easily checked by looking at the school website. A beautiful and informative website is a sign that the managers care about their services and their customers. Also, small details such as rewards, and certifications are provided depending on how seriously a school takes the child learning. Every person is influenced to work harder, when some incentives are given after the accomplishment of a certain objective.
6. Lesson Activities
If you are searching for a reputed swim school in Dubai, you should be able to match what the institute offers in terms of programs, learning goals and how it will all complement your child’s style of learning. There are many cases where the children feel stressed while learning something new. They should be motivated to achieve the set objectives in an innovative manner. Ultimately, this will enable them to have a strong hold on what they are currently learning and will prepare them to make way for the new things to be learnt in future.
7. Organizing Special Classes for the ones your child missed
There may be situations when children are unable to attend the swimming classes. The reasons may include bad health, school event and so on. In these cases the best swim schools offer extra classes to the children so that they don’t miss even a single step involved in the course. So, you don’t have to take pains while thinking about ‘What if’ your child misses that birthday party or his important swimming classes.
