It is quite straight forward and the requirements will vary from one bank to another. To open a current account, you will need to have a valid residence permit. You will need your original passport, residency visa, no-objection letter from your employer and a salary certificate but remember to check with the bank if there is anything else you require. Some banks will also make it mandatory to keep a minimum balance in your account at all time. Once you have your account up and running you will be able to set up on-line banking for paying bills.
