Hi! Louise, I have given my eldest boy a mobile phone, primarily for safety reasons, and recently he accidentally “took it swimming” and no surprise, its no longer working. Any tips on how or where to repair it?

You can take it to CelMetro at JLT or Celfixx at Deira City Centre or another tip comes from a friend of mine who did exactly the same last weekend!  Remove the sim card, submerge both the mobile and sim in a big bowl of uncooked rice and leave over night. Hopefully this will fix both but at the very least you should be able to save the sim card. If not, then perhaps you will need to replace them! Don’t forget, never throw away your old handsets, you can take them to Sharaf DG stores and they will be recycled instead.
