Ask Louise
Hi, Louise! I am coming over to the U.A.E. next week, for a two week visit to get acquainted before our move in late December. I was worried about bringing my prescriptions, which I do need daily. They are both on the banned/ restricted list. I have the original prescription and it is notarized, does this make it okay in up to a 3 month supply? Or is that only okay with non restricted drugs? They are not narcotics, or cold medications. I have read the list and the common sites, but it does not make it clear if the restricted medications are no way no how, or if they are okay with the proper paperwork. Thank you in advance!
The parties responsible for this is customs. We spoke to them over the phone and said it basically all depends on many factors but according to them, the best would be if you send a scanned copies of prescriptions to Dubai customs prior to arrival and they will be able to advise accordingly.
