Hi Louise, Edgar from NYC!  I’m trying to make the move to Dubai and would like to get connected to someone already established out there, I’m talking moving with my
family we are 4 people all-together 2 kids my wife and I.   Just to tell you about me, I’m a professional caterer and have been for 20 some years. Looking to get myself a job as either General Manager or Director of Operations within the golf industry or privately owned hotels or catering facilities. We are all American citizens. Thank you Edgar for your question. I would suggest you contact Dubai Golf as they manage two of the leading golf clubs in the region, Emirates Golf Club and Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club.  It maybe worth contacting the Els Golf Club as well as they are in the process of building a new club house.

Apart from the normal worldwide catering  agencies it would be worth contacting The American Business Council in Dubai and also for your wife to contact the American Women’s Association of Dubai to try and make contact with some fellow Americans who maybe able to give some tips on moving the family out to Dubai.

Most of the hotels in Dubai are owned locally but are managed by worldwide chains such as Starwood Group, Hilton, Hyatt etc. So you would need to contact their corporate HQ for details on job opportunities.  The successful local chain of hotels in the UAE which has now expanded globally is called Jumeirah Group so you should contact them along with another locally growing group called The Address Hotels & Resorts.   I hope this helps you in your initial search into getting a job in Dubai.
