Ask Louise

Hi, I was at the Sheikh Hamdan Dubai Swim Complex on the Outer Bypass Road to watch the Fina Diving World Series last month and it is a great complex. My question is, do you know if the public can use the facility for swimming?

Yes you can. It is open from 8am to 8pm, Saturday to Thursday and you can pay 20AED per swim or 200AED per month. The only thing is, before using the facilities you must present a doctor’s certificate to say you are “fit for swimming”. There is also a gym and sauna that the public can use for an additional charge.
