Hello, can you help me find a KG1/Primary school that will except my son with a shadow because he has mild autism and requires a shadow. I have called many schools, its turning out to be a nightmare.
I recommend you contact the Dubai Autism Center who may be able to advise you on which schools can help you out. KG and Primary schools are very oversubscribed in Dubai, however try schools such as Jumeira Baccalaureate School, Uptown Primary School, Horizon School, and Star International School. It would also be useful to contact the British Institute for Learning and Development which offers a school programme.
Hello! Thanks a lot for your reply. I called all these schools and they said they were full. I am really worried, I’m in Dubai for one year so he can have a smooth transition into mainstream school, with the help of an experienced shadow, as when I go back to Pakistan he will have no help.

Do check Cambridge International as a friend’s son attends this school and is highly recommended. They have closed their admissions but u never know. You may call at +97142824646. Good luck.
I can appreciate what a concern this is to you. Schools will have a limit to the amount of shadows they can (if they actually do) take. All I can suggest is keep phoning up schools. Try Emirates International (both Meadows & Jumeira) & Regent School along with Cambridge recommended by one of our readers.
