Do you need a business license to sell home-made or hand-crafted product like cloths, purses, pottery and plants etc. in UAE. ?
You cannot sell a product from your home (unless you have a trade licence and your home is a registered retail location like those along Al Wasl Road), you have to sell it at events which have a proper licence like ARTE.
Hello Louise, just to let you know, you can also legally sell handmade items through Little Majlis without holding your own trade license. That’s one of the reasons we set up – there are so many small businesses operated from homes here in Dubai who need a venue to help promote their goods, without the expense of formalising their set up.
