I’m an African expat in Shanghai and married to a Japanese girl, we’re planning a holiday in Dubai with our 20 months old boy in few days. Since this is our first time there, I would appreciate it if you could tell us about the general attitude towards interracial couples in Dubai. As a mixed couple ( black/Japanese), are there areas/activities in the city that could be a little trying for us? I’m just concerned about cases of overt racism, that could ruin our beautifully planned holiday. Hope to hear from you soon.

You should not be worried about any problems.  Dubai is a fantastic mix of cultures and nationalities with many mixed marriages.
