Hello!  I am Spanish, mother of 2 teenagers, 12 and 14 and married to an English man who today gave us the news he got a job in Dubai. Still under shock, I am writing to you because any help of any kind will be good. We live south of Barcelona, in a beautiful villa with excellent views and private swimming pool, children go tho the French school nearby and I’d love at least to have the same standard of living there.  Our children will go to the French school in Academic city but we do not know where to look for house rental in term of community. We cannot afford more than AED 200,000 so…what do you suggest I could start looking at? Something with community feel (pool etc..) will be of course a help because we don’t know anybody there. The most convenient locations for you and within your budget will be Dubai Silicon Oasis and The Villa.

Dubai Silicon Oasis – Cedre Villas is located in a gated community  within your budget and a short drive to the school. There are community swimming pools, shops and restaurants and a health clinic.

The Villa is a relatively new area so there are some building works still going on.  This is a gated community with big spacious villas and many have their own pools as there are no community pools at present.  It would be a short 10 minute drive from your villa to the children’s school.

Another developed area nearby also with a community  is Arabian Ranches .  This community has community pools, parks, tennis courts, golf course and club however prices in this Arabian Ranches have shot up recently – there are still villas available for your budget in this area but the houses availble will be smaller ie townhouses.  Arabian Ranches is approximately 20 minutes from Academic City.
