Ask Louise – Living in The Meadows

ask louiseQuestionWe have 2 kids under 2 years old and are moving from Singapore (previously lived in Hong Kong).  We have been recommended The Meadows as a good place for us to live for our budget (around 250-300k) but there are 9 and we haven’t a clue the pros and cons of them.

Can you shed some light on the differences between the 9 Meadows and suggest which one might work. I will be working out of the Jumeirah Lake Towers so an easy commute to there would be good but ideally it’s about the facilities and the pool and shops and things like that that matter most to us.

AnswerAll the Meadows are in the same area with each one having a security gate to enter.  The lower the number ie Meadows 1 the nearer they are to Sheikh Zayed Road and Jumeirah Lake Towers.  Meadows 6 is very convenient to the main shopping centre and Dubai British School but to be honest none of them are too far away and there are smaller shopping centres convenient to Meadows 1 and Meadows 9.  They all have play areas, pools and walkways.  Because of the heat you will probably be driving or taking a taxi to work therefore it will not make much difference to which one you live in.  The lower numbers have access to Sheikh Zayed Road and the higher numbers have easy access to another major thorough-way called Al Khail Road.  Please click this link which shows how they are set out.  Each Meadow has the same make-up of 4,5,6 bedroom houses.
