Ask Louise | Maintenace Charges
My rental agreement states that maintenance of air-conditioners, plumbing etc is included in my rent however, every-time something goes wrong and I phone agent up who looks after the villa they send maintenance company out to look at job and send them the cost then wait for the money to come from the landlord who is overseas. This sometimes takes weeks or in recent cases never – meanwhile leaving me with air-conditioners that don’t work or toilets that don’t flush. Is this normal practice?
The contract is underlining that these payments are the obligation of the landlord (which is normal practice).
