I rented out a studio in Lake Point Tower, Jumeirah Lake Towers. Last year, I did not require parking as I didn’t have a car. This year, I requested that the Landlord  provide me a Parking card as I now have a car. However, he does not want to give me a card as he said he will rent the parking space to another person as it is not stated in my rental contract. I contacted my agent, he told me that it is mandatory in JLT for Landlords to provide parking. How do I solve this problem?

The first step would be to check with the Rental Committee and confirm if a parking space in mandatory – however it may well be the case that if you did not ask for it the first year and it is not in the contract, it does not have to be included.
