Ask Louise | Rents, Kindergarten & Cars in Dubai
Good to find a site like this…
I have received an offer for a job in Dubai as General Manager of a company. The company is located in Dubai Investment Park. I have two really small children (1 and 3 years old) and would like to have an house close to the office and need to find a kindergarten for them too. Could you recommend some locations for is? What are the yearly average costs for housing, kindergarten, getting a car?
If you are going to work in Dubai Investment Park I would recommend you consider the following areas for living – The Green Community, Al Furjan, Jumeirah Village, Sports City or Discovery Gardens. Rents would range from AED 220,000 – AED 150,000 for a 3 bedroom townhouse in the first 3 locations and the last two accommodations would offer apartment living where costs would be approximately AED 100,000 (2 bed)
Please click here to see our full listing of kindergartens. You will notice there are some options in the Green Community and Dubai Investment Park such as The Children’s Garden Kindergarten however, I would find where you are living first then choose a kindergarten near to your home as there is plenty of choice. Kindergarten costs are dependent on how many days, how long your child attends and which nursery but on average the cost for a term would be between AED 8,000 & AED 12,000 for 5 days plus registration fees of between AED 500 and AED 2000 and medical fees of AED 250.
With regards to buying a car you have the option of buying new or second hand. The second hand market is a great option to buy some really good cars as Dubai has such a transient workforce again it all really depends on factors such as model, and age. I recommend you check out Dubizzle to give you a guide on second hand car prices.
