The JRB Walk and Dubai Marina mall offer the closest shopping facilities for Dubai Marina residents. The JBR Walk features smaller boutiques, pharmacies, dry cleaners, beauty salons, medical clinics, an optician, real estate agents, pet store, gift shops, and a variety of restaurants.
Dubai Marina Mall is the shopping destination in Dubai Marina. The mall features a mix of 160 stores. The mall makes utmost use of its waterfront location with an expansive promenade and its unique circular atrium offering panoramic view of the Dubai Marina. Marina Walk is one of the newer and intimate restaurant areas in Dubai. There are approximately 20 cafes and mid-range restaurants in the Marina Walk offering a variety of cuisines. The restaurants in the Marina Walk are all unlicensed.
Marina Walk is not to be confused with the new The Walk at JBR. Many restaurants and lounges (licensed to serve alcohol) are located within the surrounding hotels.

Dubai Marina is a water front community offering residents and visitors numerous water sports to participate in. Some favorites include: para-sailing, squash, swimming, kayaking, banana boating, dragon boating, wind surfing, kite surfing, rowing and boot camps just to name a few.
Marina and JBR Walk and Beachfront
The JBR Walk is a very popular beach side pedestrian boulevard at the Jumeirah Beach Residence in the Dubai Marina. The area is popular because of its proximity to the beach, it’s pedestrian friendly walk, and the vast array of restaurants.

The Dubai Tram is schedule to open to the public on November 12th. The majority of JBR and Marina residents who have witnessed the tram being constructed have had to live patiently through all the traffic chaos that this has brought with it. For other Dubai residents the Marina and JBR restaurants and hotels have always been popular evening hot-spots however, in recent months residents have tried to avoid the area for fear of being stuck in a traffic jam all night!
It has been constructed to link up to the Dubai Metro, water taxis and the Palm Monorail in the hope that commuters will be encouraged to leave their cars at home. Expat Echo Dubai have put together some facts to help you use the new Dubai Tram.
