Top-ranked private schools in Dubai will be allowed to increase their fees by six per cent, according to an announcement made recently by the emirate’s education authority.

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) said its new fee structure would be based on school inspection grades and an “educational cost index” calculated by the Dubai Statistics Centre. Read more

This week Move One’s Luanna and her family visited the Dubai Animal Rescue Centre (DARC), to find out more about this interesting project and to see how Move One’s Pet Transportation division can better provide support in future. DARC is a Dubai based sanctuary dedicated to the rescue, treatment, care and welfare of lost, abandoned and injured animals. Including exotics, birds, tortoises, equine, rodents and more. This sanctuary is a family-run initiative whereby every Dirham earned is spent on feeding, transporting, healing, training and maintenance of the animals in DARC’s care – all of which is located in a standard family villa in the heart of Al Barsha 1. Today I waved my niece and nephew off as they flew back to Scotland after an action packed holiday filled with trips to Wild Wadi, I-Fly and quad biking in the desert. It was not all doom and gloom ahead of them however, as they had Easter to look forward to. Next weekend they will spend Saturday boiling eggs and carefully painting them, ready to take to the hills on Easter Sunday to roll the eggs.
