Popular Productions is pleased to announce the return of its smash hit production of the classic Broadway musical ANNIE to Dubai in 2015. The production will run 2-17 April at the Madinat Theatre, Madinat Jumeirah. The original production of this Tony Award winning musical, sold out it’s previous Dubai run in 2009 to critical acclaim. The production which will feature new designs and orchestrations, will go on sale in the New Year. Read more

This is a big week for the English Community here in Dubai as they prepare to celebrate St George’s Day.
The Dubai St George’s Society is a focal point for the English community in Dubai and the Northern Emirates and organises a series of cultural, social and charity events throughout the year with this week being no exception.
Thursday 24th April will witness The Rifles’ Band perform some big band sounds and also recreate the atmosphere found at the famous Albert Hall during the Proms right here in Dubai at Dubai College with some Proms Singing (flags included!). Read more
On April 24th last year, 1133 people were killed when the Rana Plaza factory complex collapsed in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Many more were injured. Today, people are still suffering as a direct result of our fashion supply chain.
Fashion Revolution Day says enough is enough.
On this first anniversary of the Rana Plaza disaster, we’ll start by remembering its victims and raising awareness of the fashion industry’s biggest challenges.
