Meetup was founded in 2002 with the mission of bringing people together locally, after Scott Heiferman’s experiences in NYC around 9/11.

Meetup is the world’s largest network of self-organized clubs and community groups and it is active right here in Dubai.  They make it easy for anyone to organize their own local group, or find one of the thousands already meeting face-to-face to help its members better pursue hobbies, advance causes, network with peers, get health support, or just arrange a friendly playgroup for their kids.
