Tell us a little about yourself
Born in Pakistan in 1970. Served with Government for 12 years. Then decided to switch career and became a Chartered Accountant.
When did you move to Dubai and what brought you here?
I came to Dubai in December, 2008 after receiving an offer from a Chartered Accountants firm in Dubai.
Have you been an expat elsewhere and if so, where?
No.
The best advice you were given to prepare you for life in Dubai
Received no advice.
What surprised you most about Dubai?
Multicultural society.
What area do you live in?
Sharjah- Al Nahda.
If money were no object, where would you most like to live in Dubai?
Oud Metha Road.
Your favorite Arabic word or phrase you have learned so far
Khalas.
Your least favorite word or phrase you have adopted since moving to Dubai
Wala ya habibi.
What has been your best experience in Dubai to date?
Going to Al Ain.
Where do you hope to spend your next holiday?
Pakistan.
Who is the person you most miss when you are in Dubai?
My mother and father.
What is your favorite restaurant in Dubai?
BB Delights.
What grocery item do you most miss from your home country?
None.
When friends and family visit you in Dubai where will you absolutely take them?
Jumeirah.
