Tell us a little about yourself
A single professional, I work in public relations and communication sector for last 4 plus years. Am also a life coach and looking forward to more coaching, more travel and more experiences in life.
When did you move to Dubai and what brought you here?
2003. My desire to explore new opportunities brought me here. A childhood friend was here and that was a bonus.
Have you been an expat elsewhere and if so, where?
No.
The best advice you were given to prepare you for life in Dubai
I came with nothing. But i want to give this one – give yourself 6 months, and then decide long term. And do not come loaded with with too many ‘my friend told me’ ideas.
What surprised you most about Dubai?
The Emirati women, their ambitions, dreams and the work they put in their career and life.
What area do you live in?
Bur Dubai
If money were no object, where would you most like to live in Dubai?
on Jumairah beach road, next to open beach
Your favorite Arabic word or phrase you have learned so far

Your least favorite word or phrase you have adopted since moving to Dubai
nothing i can think of
What has been your best experience in Dubai to date?
The people….all the different Nationalities and getting to know some incredible people here.Walking around in Bastakiya and taking an abra ride on creek – on sunset. It makes me absolutely happy always!
Where do you hope to spend your next holiday?
Canada
Who is the person you most miss when you are in Dubai?
My nephews
What is your favorite restaurant in Dubai?
Bayt al Wakeel, a beautiful place lodged on creek, near the textile souq
What grocery item do you most miss from your home country?
Nothing much
When friends and family visit you in Dubai where will you absolutely take them?
