Tell us a little about yourself
Market Research addict and an MBA with hands-on experience at an international level in Market Research, Business Planning and Consulting.

When did you move to Dubai and what brought you here?
In 2009 with an aim to join one of my dream consulting companies.

Have you been an expat elsewhere and if so, where?
No.

The best advice you were given to prepare you for life in Dubai
“People leave companies not because of their company, but because of their managers.”

What surprised you most about Dubai?
The dynamics of the place. Originally being an oil based economy, Dubai is now focusing on becoming a tourism based economy down the line.

What area do you live in?
Near Uptown Mirdif.

If money were no object, where would you most like to live in Dubai?
The Pullman Hotel as it is very near to my office.

Your favorite Arabic word or phrase you have learned so far
Alf Mabrook.

Your least favorite word or phrase you have adopted since moving to Dubai
Shu hada.

What has been your best experience in Dubai to date?
Yet to realize – as I am waiting for our baby to come in the next couple of months…

Where do you hope to spend your next holiday?
Hawaii followed by Thailand.

Who is the person you most miss when you are in Dubai?
My Dad and Mom.

What is your favourite restaurant in Dubai?
Gulf Mandi – A hotspot for Mandi (Yemeni food). Location – Near Dubai Hospital. Though a small place, its very popular for laham mandi.

What grocery item do you most miss from your home country?
None, I’m happy to see a new line of products with better quality.

When friends and family visit you in Dubai where will you absolutely take them?
Spas, desert safari, shopping and to the top of the Burj Khalifa!
