More Bike Lanes Scheduled for Summer in Dubai

Cycling is a very popular past-time in the Emirates so news that there will be 900 kilometres of cycling tracks by the year 2020 will be met with huge applause. In the meantime, a bike lane from Arabian Ranches to Bab Al Shams will be open by summer.

The track will start near the Arabian Ranches exit on the Dubai Outer Bypass Road and run about 20 kilometres along Al Qudra Road, before turning right to Bab Al Shams for another 5 kilometres. The track is to run in both directions, totaling almost 50 kilometres. It will be built in two phases, the second of which is scheduled for completion in July.
