Ripe, the UAE’s pioneering provider of local, seasonal, organic and fresh fruits and vegetables, is about to launch a dedicated online ordering and home delivery facility throughout Dubai.

The company, launched earlier this year, has to date been a resounding success and has fast gained an extensive and loyal customer base of locals and expats alike. The idea behind the company stemmed from founder Becky Balderstone’s days in the UK; “I always enjoyed the weekly farmers markets concept and became a passionate devotee of local and organic produce. I missed this on moving to Dubai so I started to look into replicating the idea here. I found that the UAE is awash with beautiful farms, growing magnificent produce so it seemed only natural to start planting seeds!”

This new service has been driven out of the desire to offer a completely hassle-free and convenient way to enjoy the best fresh produce available from the UAE. The system has been set up at www.ripeme.com to be entirely user-friendly, allowing customers to log in every week and with a few simple clicks, place their order. For those who do not wish to pay by credit card, a courier can even be sent to your home to collect the cash.

With the official launch date of January 2012, Ripe’s online order and home delivery service compliments perfectly their existing offerings. Currently, Ripe holds two weekly Food & Craft Markets, on Friday and Saturdays in Abu Dhabi and Dubai respectively. The seasonal weekly boxes come with a weekly Ripe Recipe, encouraging people to get creative in the kitchen and Ripe’s resident nutritionist offers regular tips and advice to make the most out of Ripe’s produce and to encourage healthy lifestyle habits.

About Ripe’s Online Ordering & Home Delivery Service
Each week orders can be made up until Thursday at 12pm for guaranteed delivery. Produce is picked and packed at farms throughout the UAE within 48 hours of delivery. The door-to-door delivery service will commence in Arabian Ranches, Al Nakheel Compound (Al Sufouh) and Compound 19 (Umm Suqeim 2) before being rolled out to more areas. Additional neighbourhood collection points include Dubai Garden Centre on Sheikh Zayed Road, Milk & Honey on The Palm Jumeirah, Optimal Fitness in Studio City and Down to Earth in Jumeirah 1. Further collection points will be announced in due course.
