Ripe!
Ripe is now in its sixth week and we’re absolutely delighted with the feedback from customers – old and young, organic newbie’s and seasoned green queens alike. Have you checked out Ripe’s weekly market yet? If not, make time this Saturday to pop down!
Here’s what you need to know:
The market takes place every Saturday, from 9.30am to 1pm at Dubai Garden Centre on SZR (next door to the Gold & Diamond Park). You can buy small boxes for AED 80 or large boxes for AED 130. Both are packed to the brim with delicious and nutritious local, organic and seasonal fresh produce. The veg is all hand-picked from farms in the UAE within 48 hours of the market and just one bite into one of Ripe’s tasty toms or magical mushrooms and we suspect you will become a loyal fan forever!
In addition to Ripe, the market features loads of other fab foodie offerings from brilliant breads and saucy sauces to dazzling dips and marvellous mozzarella (locally made by a real-life Italian family!). RAW Coffee is a firm favourite and if you feel a little peckish, you can tuck into Prime Gourmet’s Sausage Sizzle. All in all, the market is a buzzing little place to spend an hour or two on a Saturday morning… bring the kids, catch up with friends and leave armed with amazing produce for the week ahead.
The Ripe website was recently launched and any day now, it will be taking online orders so check it out at www.ripeme.com and subscribe to the newsletter so you get updated as and when all our plans are fully ripened. Join our Facebook page too and coming soon, we’ll have some cool competitions and info on various events we’re involved in.
Ripe’s weekly markets will start in Abu Dhabi on the 18th November. Taking place at Khalifa Park’s Desert Garden Centre, the market will feature Ripe’s produce as well as some of the city’s finest arts and crafts people so if you have friends based in or around the city, tell them to keep their eyes peeled and pop along on the 18th from 9.30am – 1pm.
Finally, because Ripe is super excited about spreading the benefits of healthy eating with the best produce in the region, we’ve got a nutritionist on board who brings the Ripe community weekly tips to incorporate into your lives and we also give you a weekly recipe so you can get creative in the kitchen and become a budding Master Chef!
We hope to see you soon and in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to drop Ripe a line at info@ripeme.com with news, views or whatever you choose!
