Camp Quinebarge, USA
A traditional American boys and girls summer camp for exploring, growing and making everlasting friendships…
Living in Dubai with children we all eagerly anticipate the summer holidays and escaping the scorching heat which for many results in kids stuck indoors in front of computer based games.
July witnesses a bustling Dubai International Airport with excited families returning to their home countries. However, at the end of the long break ask children ‘did they enjoy their holidays?’ and many of them will answer ‘it was OK but I was a bit bored because I had no friends’. For many Dubai based kids they actually know no-one their own age in their home countries as all their friends live in Dubai so the excitement of the holidays soon wears off and the boredom sets in. Summer Camps abroad may be just the answer for Dubai kids. Some of our Expat Echo Dubai readers tried out one of these camps last year and highly recommend it.
