Belkiz Feedaway (Feedaway), an award winning, portable, lightweight, cardboard feeding chair – ideal for short-term solutions, feeding on the go, or where space is at a premium – is now available in the UAE.

Easy to assemble, innovative and recyclable, the Feedaway is ideal for toddlers up to 20 months of age, or up to 20kg, who are away from home.

“I was travelling back to Australia to visit family with my then 8 month old, and was staying at both sets of grandparents.  With no high-chair available at either house, I started searching for a cheap and temporary solution that I could use at both homes.

“I was becoming increasingly frustrated at the thought of feeding my baby in her pram or on my lap for three weeks.  It was too expensive to buy two high-chairs, second-hand ones were not in good condition, and moving one high-chair between houses, with the amount of luggage we were travelling with, was next to impossible.  That’s when I came across the perfect solution in Feedaway – and I want to be able to share this great product with other mums,” said Andy Abey, mum of three and founder of zeora9.

Both the Feedaway and the carry-on box, which weigh under 2kg in total, are Australian made from Australian materials, manufactured from recycled cardboard, and can be recycled after use. It’s perfect for visiting friends, camping, weekends away, or keeping a second feeding option at home in case of messy toddlers…

Easily assembled and disassembled, the Feedaway can be used up to 30 days at 6 feeds a day, and recycled without the guilt of wastage.  A non-toxic food coating provides for protection and easy cleaning.

Since its launch, the Feedaway has been a finalist in various national and international design awards for its sustainable product design. The Feedaway is cut out of a single sheet of cardboard to minimise waste.

At an affordable Dhs175, the Feedaway has been exclusively available at selected UAE retailers since April 2012.

Feedaway has been tested by an accredited Australian test centre on stability, strength and durability.  To formulate the customised test criteria, various international safety standards were used from; the International Organisation for Standardisation; Britain; America; and Australia. The Infant Nursery Product Association of Australia (INPAA) worked with the manufacturer, Belkiz Pty Ltd, for over two years to ensure a safe product outcome. Belkiz Pty Ltd is an accredited INPAA member and the Feedaway in INPAA approved.
