The amount of secondary schools in Dubai has grown a lot over recent years with many primary schools adding a secondary school some of these offering automatic entry into the secondary school for their existing pupils. This has taken a lot of the pressure of the children and parents.
The types of curriculum being offered has also changed over the years with many schools offering the International Baccalaureate which suits the international make-up of the children in Dubai. Both A’Levels and IB courses can be very challenging and will not suit all pupils however schools such as JESS Ranches, Deira International School GEMS Wellington Silicon Oasis and Greenfield Community School have been very forward thinking and are also offering Career Related Certificates (IBCC) to complement their already very successful IB Diploma course thus satisfying all the different levels of academics in the schools.
