Move One teams in both Dubai and Mongolia had been working towards a deadline to surprise the children at the Lotus Children’s Center. This holiday season Move One donated and delivered essential electrical equipment, including washing machines, microwaves, fridges and large ovens enabling the center to cook hot feasts destined to warm hearts.
Move One has also created an educational play area for the children equipped with televisions, computers and printers to give these children the modern comforts and opportunities they desperately deserve.
In 1993 Didi Kalika, an Australian yoga teacher living in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia was moved by the plight of the children living on the streets and founded the Lotus Children’s center. She started simply by giving food and basic medical care, and soon realized that serious change was necessary to make a real impact. The Lotus Children’s Center in Mongolia is largely dependent on charitable donations.
This Holiday Season Move One made the decision to donate to this extremely worthy charity in place of purchasing individual corporate gifts. Move One looks forward to supporting the Lotus Children’s Center for the foreseeable future.

The Lotus Children’s Center opened in 1993 and works to house underprivileged and vulnerable children to provide the basic human rights of shelter, nutrition and education. The Center is run through donations from institutions and individuals with little government support. Most of the children who live in the center have individual sponsors. A new facility is currently under construction further from the city.
