Move One is seeking an IT Help Desk Support staff member for its rapidly growing global headquarters in Dubai, UAE.


As a Technical Support/Helpdesk Professional you will be supporting employees within the UAE offices with technical issues including, but not limited to, software issues, passwords, virus or email matters, or hardware equipment support.

Job Description:

  • Working with the IT Department in Dubai to identify employees’ computer problems and advising on solutions
  • On-line support for remote offices
  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, electronically
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
  • Research questions using available information resources
  • Advise user(s) on appropriate action
  • Log all help desk interactions
  • Administer help desk interactions
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
  • Stay current with system information, changes and updates
  • Testing and fixing faulty equipment
  • Maintenance & troubleshooting of Linux & Windows Workstations, Printers, IP Telephony, Local Area Networks, etc
  • Service Desk support via Move One’s ticketing system
  • Learning several in-house developed CRM applications for the purpose of user administration
  • Manage, source and monitor vendor communications for IT equipment purchasing
  • Participate in our Incident Management Protocol, provide first level support and first point of contact for any IT related issues while on shift

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of Linux desktop administration experience
  • Minimum 1 year of Windows desktop administration experience
  • An in-depth understanding of software and equipment (PC’s, Printers, Scanners, etc.)
  • Experience with configuring and troubleshooting standard desktop and e-mail applications: ex. OpenOffice (LibraOffice), MS Office, Thunder Bird, MS Outlook, Firefox, Skype and alike
  • Prior help desk or service desk Job experience is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP Networking is required
  • Linux and networking certificates are an advantage
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Willing to work long hours and learn new technologies & systems
  • Willing to travel to other countries
