Daylight Savings Global Time Changes
There are two times each year during the spring and fall months when countries participate in daylight savings. This affects expats living in Dubai when they are trying to contact loved ones back home as for many with relatives in Europe and North America they will be one hour less behind us than in the winter months.
In general, the European Union countries typically adjust clocks the last Sunday of March and in October. North America and Canada participate in daylight savings on the second Sunday in March and the first Sunday in November. Egypt, Namibia and Tunisia are the only African countries who observe daylight savings. New Zealand and parts of Australia are the only countries in Oceania that currently put their clocks forwards and backwards.
There are several countries that will be changing their clocks both ahead and back during the next 4 weeks. Click here to see the countries and dates that this will be happening.
