Discount Dining in Dubai’s Restaurants

Who doesn’t like to grab a good deal when they see one? So FooDiva has done a little digging with plenty of eating, to bring you discount dining options for restaurants in Dubai and in some cases across the U.A.E. Now set aside your favourite hotel chain’s loyalty card, or credit/debit card affiliations, plus the zillions of daily deal websites – you already have these on tap. So when you’re looking to dine out, where do you turn? That’s after you’ve read FooDiva’s review of course! What ties all these options together is they are completely free with no advance sign-up cost. So here’s the deal…
1. RoundMenu (www.roundmenu.com)
Online booking site with a discount offer. You search for your restaurant by area or cuisine. You’ll find deals averaging 30% off with some even up to 50%, such as Fairmont’s Spectrum on One, plus special promotions with validity clearly stated. Book your table online giving only your name and contact number (no need for a credit card). RoundMenu calls you to confirm your booking. The discount is simply included in your bill. No coupons or card required.

2. BBC Good Food Middle East Food Club (www.bbcgoodfoodme.com)
Simply click on this website and sign up for free to receive your card entitling you to 20% discount on food only at listed restaurants, plus invites to cooking masterclasses and tastings. The current choice isn’t huge but new hotels and restaurants are being added as time ticks by such as Wok In Chow Down at the Movenpick Deira for unbelievably good Nasi Goreng! Present your card when settling your bill to avail of the discount.

3. Time Out Dubai City Card (www.timeoutdubai.com/citycard)
Register for your free card online, and Time Out will let you know when it’s ready for collection at the Dubai Media City office. You’ll get up to 25% discount on food and/ or drink at 200 plus F&B outlets. With such vast choice, FooDiva uses this card pretty much all the time! As with BBC’s, to get the discount simply present your card when paying the bill.

4. MMI’s Grapevine (www.mmidubai.com/grapevine)
Special offers and events for wine lovers. Now best bit…you don’t need an alcohol licence. Simply register for free on the website and collect your card from an MMI store. You’ll receive a monthly e-newsletter updating you with wine tastings and the like. If you’re keen to join, simply book online and pay on the door. On top of that, a handful of restaurants offer discounts to Grapevine members – including 25% off at Vintage wine bar anytime!
