The holiday season is fast approaching and many residents in Dubai are busy planning flights and tours, but have you stopped to think about the security of your home while you are away on vacation? Due to the heat many residents tend to take extended vacations over the hottest months and therefore leave their properties empty for long periods. Dubai Police have a service called Housing Security Program which allows customers to request Dubai Police to monitor their residence while they are abroad. When they return, they notify Dubai Police to stop the monitoring.
This service is available to anyone residing in a villa in Dubai. The Police do request that you make sure windows and entrances, cabinets and cupboards are safely secured and vehicles are locked. If possible jewelery, money and other valuable items should be deposited with a bank.
