Union Cooperative Society has announced the opening of its second shopping mall, Al Barsha Mall. As the name suggests the new mall is located in Al Barsha and hopes to enrich the shopping experience in Dubai. Al Barsha Mall is in the middle of a highly populated residential area and is expected to serve several neighborhoods.
The mall consists of basement, ground and first floors. The basement is designed as a public car parking area with spaces for 420 parked cars. The ground floor is designed to house 44 shops, 4 luxurious restaurants, 2 coffee shops, department stores and vertical circulation elements as in travelators and elevators in addition to not less than 409 indoor car parks and 180 external car parks for customers. It has 3 external main entrances and 6 additional entrances from the internal car park.
Cooperative occupies the largest area of the first floor as it is considered as the biggest hypermarket in the Middle East. A food court with a total of 12 restaurants, 4 luxurious restaurants, 2 coffee shops and 46 shops are available in this floor in addition to other services such as toilets, prayer room etc.
