National ID Rule for Expat Kids Under 15

Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) has urged guardians of children under 15 years of age, both Emiratis and expatriates, whose visa date of expiry falls after December 31, to register the minors for the ID before October 1 to avoid late fees. Expatriate children under the age of 15 whose visas expire before December 31 this year are excluded from the registration grace period, provided they register when renewing their visas before the end of the year, EIDA has revealed.
