Whether you are new to Dubai or been here since the Trade Centre was the tallest building, volunteering is always a great way of meeting new people.

A well know charity in Dubai that is always looking for volunteers is K9 Friends. They are a non-profit making, voluntary run organisation that helps to rescue abandoned dogs and finds them loving new homes.

They have many events in the pipeline and are looking for volunteers so if your free for a couple of hours then get in touch with them.  Here is the list of events they are looking for volunteers to help with.

• Thursday 22nd November pack up and set up at venue for K9 friends Garage sale.
• Friday 23rd November garage sale in Jumeirah Islands. 7.30am . ideally around 6 volunteers for this and anyone who wishes to come afterward to help clear up can come at 10am.
• PADIA Winter Souk at DIA school in the Lakes Thursday 29th November from 12pm to 4pm set up at 11am. 1 more person needed.
• Dubai British School Festive Frolics on Thursday 6th December from 1.30 to 4.30 one other person needed to help with set up and selling.
• JESS night market. Friday 7th December from 3pm to 8pm 2 people to help set up and sell
• Jumeirah College Sale on Saturday 8th December from 3pm to 7pm . someone to pick up merchandise from K9 set ad sell.
