Surveyor – Dubai, UAE

POSITION PURPOSE:
To carefully and accurately survey the volume of household goods shipments, educate potential clients, sell moving services and provide excellent customer service to assure the client chooses Move One as their preferred moving company.

 RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS TASKS:

• Accurately estimate the volume of a household goods consignment.
• Sell the household goods moving services products for exports, imports, UAE domestic, storage and business moving services.
• Sell insurance service in line with above moving services.
• Provide customers with reliable and useful information regarding the (domestic and/or international) moving process.
• Provide excellent Customer Service to ensure customer issues are resolved.
• Carry out pre-move surveys anywhere in the UAE that are booked and scheduled by Sales, Move Coordinators or the Operations Manager.
• Estimate accurately.
• Work closely with the quoting department to ensure accurate quotes are generated for the potential client.
• Ensure all proposals are sent to potential clients within 48 hours of completion of survey.
• Routinely and systematically follow-up on all surveys and convert a minimum of 55% of all completed surveys as well as total surveyed volume / revenue potential.
• Document all survey and customer data in the Intrack system.
• Liaise with the sales team, customer care manager and operations manager to ensure that all information relating to a booked move is being noted and any special requirements taken into account.
• Ensure the maintenance of effective relationships with clients.
• Ensure superior customer service delivery at all times and to maintain personal presentation and customer service ethics of the highest standards.
• Prepare internal documentation as required ensuring that the operations department is correctly advised of packing and uplift of export consignments.
• Recognize and act upon sales leads which relate to other business units, whether directly of benefit to the UAE operation or not.
• Attend sales, operational and review meetings as necessary to analyze sales and operational performances in comparison to planned objective
• Attend and participate in (department) meetings as required.
• Other duties as reasonably assigned.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• Preference for college graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum two years moving and/or sales experience preferred.
• Understanding spacial and volume relationships.
• Packing experience – especially for fine arts and/or antiques – preferred.
• Strong sales and customer service skills are essential
• Valid driving license in the country of employment.
• Fluent written and spoken English is essential
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Strong level of computer knowledge / literacy.
• Attention to detail; strong math skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization.
• Strong personal and professional presentation styles.
• Ability to operate a tablet PC during face-to-face home surveys.

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Occasionally work outside business hours, weekends
• Required to be available around the clock via phone
• High level of driving and visiting customers’ homes.

Rotational Trainee – Dubai, UAE

The Rotational Training Program allows new or existing talent in Move One to be systematically groomed to take up roles of responsibility across various divisions and countries. The RTP offers enthusiastic and dynamic individuals professional development through formal and on the job learning, networking and early responsibilities to gain exposure and hone their skills. We welcome business savvy candidates who posses drive and developmental potential to excel in the moving and logistics industry.

This program will take place over a period of 12-24 months. Each candidate will gain experience in the following divisions through mentorship from a senior leader, for a predetermined amount of time. The program is designed to help candidates build a strong knowledge of our overall operations.

A trainee will be able to:

Get hands on experience.
Have an understanding of how we operate and why we follow specific procedures.
Spend dedicated time learning operations within the key areas of:

▪ Marketing
▪ Customer Care
▪ Other general business functions (IT, Finance, HR, Travel etc.)

Skills
– Strong English written and verbal skills
– Must be physically fit
– Age should not exceed 30 years old

– An interest in exploring multi functional assignments
– Must be willing to take up overseas assignments during and after the program
– Continuous authorization of work in the UAE
– Passport with validity of a minimum of 2+ years remaining
– Valid driving license from home country (preferred).
