You Need a Moving Permit
There is a little bit more paper work to do now before moving in or out of some of Dubai’s more popular communities. Emaar one of Dubai’s largest property developers now has a new ‘Move In Move Out Policy‘.
The objectives of the policy are to ensure:
- Smooth access into the community for new residents
- Current contact information for all residents is kept up to date
- Information is available on assistance required for any resident with Special needs, in cases of emergency evacuation
- Site supervision of any move (in or out) takes place, to ensure that any damages that might occur in the common areas are recorded and rectified promptly
All residents of these communities moving in or out should submit the form at least five working days prior to the date of the intended move. Following receipt of the form EMAAR will then issue a ‘Moving In Permit’ to enable a smooth entry to the communities.
The form can be obtained from communities@emaar.ae
The following documents need to submitted with the form:
Passport Copy/UAE ID
Copy of Title Deed or Certificate of Completion of Payment
Copy of Tenancy Contract
Companies should submit Trade License
Copy of most recent Service Charge Receipt
