Ask Louise – Importing Pets from Philippines
Do dogs need passports to enter UAE? I have a Dog, his breed is lhasa Apso. He’s in the Philippines right now and I would like to bring him here. All I have with me now is his birth certificate and his vaccination book is with him.
Yes, you are correct no “passport” is needed however, pets entering UAE from the Philippines are required to have a rabies blood test done from a government approved laboratory. The breed is also accepted in UAE.
Please ensure that all the annual vaccinations are not older than 12 months and less than 21 days old and that the microchip was in place prior to the last rabies vaccination.
