CAIS, the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools Group, is hosting two events for potential pupils in the UAE this month. Families are invited to the informal evening reception, where parents and pupils will get a chance to meet representatives from Canada’s top boarding schools, to pick up prospectuses, speak to teachers and find out more about the prestigious Canadian boarding system and educational curricula.

A home away from home eatery for Canadians in Dubai.
For all Canadian expats living in Dubai our sources have advised Expat Echo Dubai that a new Canadian restaurant has opened it’s doors in Jumeirah. It is serving Montreal style smoked meat sandwiches as well as poutine with real cheese curds and home cut fries (which apparently is a huge deal!).
The Maple Leaf Restaurant is located on Jumeirah Beach Road near Al Manara Road. The restaurant is open during Ramadan from 7pm through to 4am.
