Standing in the lift the other day I overheard newly arrived  expats clutching mugs of hot chocolate talking about how weird it is to be in Dubai at Christmas time.  It definitely isn’t cold outside so I suppose drinking hot chocolate is what they ‘feel’ they should be doing at this time of year!

Despite the clear blue skies Dubai can feel very Festive if you know where to look.

For the children Santa is obviously a big part of Christmas and for one of the best grottos get down to the Wafi Mall where you will find him in his very authentic log cabin.  The grotto is open till the 24th December from 10am to 10pm and costs DHS 60 (inclusive of a cuddly toy and a photo with Santa!).
