ask louiseQuestionI moved to dubai in 2012 & my apartment rent was 50K. Next year the landlord increased to 55K. This year again he hiked to 65K. I have 3 queries:-

1) Is there a law (not sure if its 26 or 33) that a landlord can only hike at 2 years interval. If so, how effective is it?
2) If I opt for rent according to RERA rental calculator, the landlord is threatening that he will put a clause that contract is non-renewable and I will have to vacate next year.
3) Could you also advise any official website for the above. Read more

However, he does not want to give me a card as he said he will rent the parking space to another person as it is not stated in my rental contract. I contacted my agent, he told me that it is mandatory in JLT for Landlords to provide parking. How do I solve this problem? Read more

Recently anyone driving around the Emaar development of Arabian Ranches will have been greeted at the barrier to each compound by the sign ‘Community Service Payments Due’ then each villa that had not paid their service fees named for everyone to see.  What Read more
