anderson-educationFollowing 10 years of successfully running the UK Boarding School Exhibition in Dubai and the Middle East, Anderson Education (formally Sue Anderson Consulting) is pleased to announce their first International Boarding School Exhibition on 14th & 15th November 2014 at the Hilton Jumeirah Resort, JBR, featuring 27 schools from the US, Canada, Switzerland, UK, Jordan and Bahrain.

Sue Anderson and her team of education consultants will be on hand to offer free guidance and impartial advice to all parents living in the UAE and the wider Gulf region who would be interested to know “what to look for” when selecting a boarding school for their child. The team will help parents identify schools that meet the individual needs of their child. Shortlisting and visiting three to four schools is a key factor in selecting the right school. With their years of experience Anderson Education has the expert knowledge to facilitate this and make the whole process easier. Read more

acfmWhy appoint a Guardian?

UK schools, whose students have parents living outside the UK, require them to have a local Guardian – someone outside of school who can look after them if required. Instead, the school Guardian acts on behalf of the parents in some instances. Some of their responsibilities include –

  • arrange transport between airport/station and school (or the guardian’s home) at half term, on weekend leaves, and during holidays, and will help the school and/or parents make travel arrangements.
  • provide board and lodgings during half-term, official weekend leaves and – if travel arrangements require it, for a day or so at the start or the end of a term. Guardians provide transport at these times if required. Read more
