GDRFA-DubaiToll free number 8005111 available for all 27 external centres 

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA-D) has launched a new centre in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), Major General Mohammad Al Marri, Director General, GDRFA-D, told Al Ittihad newspaper.

This centre will be open till 2.30pm.

Maj. Gen. Al-Marri also announced the launching of the toll free number 8005111 that will be available for all 27 external service centres across the city.

He stressed that all centres are doing their best to complete transactions quickly.

He added that the centre will serve citizens, residents and visitors in the UAE to facilitate and speed up transactions. Read more

e-gateEida launches e-gate service on ID cards with 2-year validity

Residents of the UAE will now be able to activate the e- gate service on the Emirates National identity cards for a fee of Dh150, the Emirates Identity Authority (Eida) has said.

According to a report in Emarat Al Youm the e-gate service will be added to ID card services for a fixed period of two years.

Renewal fees for two years will also be Dh150. Read more

We asked and immigration authorities at Al Aweer who assured us that there is no ban on families, especially when they were here on a legal visa but did not renew, and they can get a new permanent residence visa within a day or two once they exit the country. I’m about to apply for their new visas but hearing a lot of news that those who availed 2012 Amnesty are either getting permanently black listed or a temporary ban, starting from 6 months up to unlimited.
