Time to Plan Your Holidays
It is time to plan your holidays… we all deserve to chill out in dreamy places and to discover new things outside of Dubai.
Have you already thought about your next destination? The experts have checked some Asian countries for you: here are three places not to miss!
Sri Lanka
Visit Sri Lanka and you will understand why this country is called “resplendent island”. This small island is rich in different landscapes, climates and activities. Enjoy a stay in the hill country, in Nuwara Eliya or Ella. Take a deep breath of fresh air and go for a few hours hike, surrounded by tea plantations, paddy fields, stunning green landscapes and waterfalls. My favorite walk was the little Adam’s peak, crossing a village and climbing the hill with a great view in the cool temperatures of the morning.
Continue your trip to the East coast and enjoy the beautiful beaches. You can relax by the sea or can enjoy surfing in Arugam Bay or Batticaloa. In the north, discover sandy beaches like Nilaveli and have an excursion to Pigeon Island National Park, a wildlife sanctuary perfect for snorkeling.
India – The Himalayas
India could be a continent given its size and its eclectic culture! A country of immoderation, you will be seduced by the busy cities that never sleep, and at times you will love its surprising serenity. India contains so much diversity that it is impossible to list it all. Among the must see: The Maharaja’s fabulous palaces, holy cities along the Ganges, Kerala backwaters, Himalayan mountains…
One incredible place in the Himalayas is called Ladakh. This region is an amazing mix of Buddhist culture and high mountains, a perfect place for trekking and adventure holidays. Season is going from May to September, with a peak of visitors during July-August. I love so much that area that I have already visited twice. It’s not only for the adventure, but also for the warm population, smiling at you saying hello “Julley julley”. Don’t miss one of the monasteries festivals, full of colors and dances.
Indonesia – Bali
Enjoy a perfect mix between stunning beaches and typical culture. Balinese are very proud of their traditions and willing to welcome foreigners to discover it. Enjoy the architectural beauty of Hindu temples surrounded by a lush nature, you will feel recharged.
In Ubud area, you will experience the spiritual atmosphere of the movie “Eat, pray, love”. It is a great place for early morning yoga. You might also enjoy a bicycle ride in the countryside through the paddy fields. In this cultural heart of Bali, you will attend dance shows called wayang kulit and become initiated to local art. Bali is the ideal place to relax in a spiritual and peaceful atmosphere. As food is always part of travel, I advise you to try the delicious Babi guling.
