AdoptaCamp is an initiative to meaningfully improve the lives of the men who built the beautiful cities we live in. And through them, to reach out to and aid the diverse communities they come from.
In SmartAdopt a white collar office goer adopts a blue collar worker. The mentor calls the laborer or the adopted person once a week and speaks to him/her. This helps the lesser privileged worker to gain confidence, at the same time the mentor can find the talent in his ward and help him excel in it. The mentor should meet the adopted labourer at least once a month to understand him/her better. SmartLife conducts various personality development classes like Office etiquette, English Speaking Classes etc, the mentor should make sure that his/her ward attends these classes, if the mentor thinks it will help his ward or if the ward is interested in attending these classes.
Aid in Motion, in partnership with the Dubai Charity Association and Aramex, aims at collecting unwanted second hand clothing in Dubai and redistributing the collections in less advantaged areas of the city, primarily labor camps in Sonapur although they hope to soon expand their distribution areas.
