AdoptaCamp is an initiative to meaningfully improve the lives of the men who built the beautiful cities we live in. And through them, to reach out to and aid the diverse communities they come from.

Adopt a Laborer
In SmartAdopt a white collar office goer adopts a blue collar worker. The mentor calls the laborer or the adopted person once a week and speaks to him/her. This helps the lesser privileged worker to gain confidence, at the same time the mentor can find the talent in his ward and help him excel in it. The mentor should meet the adopted labourer at least once a month to understand him/her better. SmartLife conducts various personality development classes like Office etiquette, English Speaking Classes etc, the mentor should make sure that his/her ward attends these classes, if the mentor thinks it will help his ward or if the ward is interested in attending these classes.

Aid in Motion
Aid in Motion, in partnership with the Dubai Charity Association and Aramex, aims at collecting unwanted second hand clothing in Dubai and redistributing the collections in less advantaged areas of the city, primarily labor camps in Sonapur although they hope to soon expand their distribution areas.

Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs
The Centre serves children with special needs from different nationalities. The centre is always looking for volunteers to help out in anyway they can.

Christina Noble Foundation
The Christina Noble Children’s Foundation (CNCF) is dedicated to helping children in need through education, medical care, social opportunities, and job placement in Vietnam and Mongolia.
The Foundation was formally established in Vietnam in 1991 with the construction of a Medical centre for abandoned and malnourished children in Ho Chi Minh City. The Centre, now a landmark in many children’s lives, is a tribute to Christina Noble’s vision, her courage and unconditional love for children.

DARC Dubai Animal Rescue Centre
The Dubai Animal Rescue Centre (DARC) is a Dubai based sanctuary dedicated to the rescue, treatment, care and welfare of lost, abandoned and injured animals. Including exotics, birds, reptiles, equine, rodents and more. The centre runs conservation & awareness programmes. One of the ways the public can help is by adopting animals.

Dubai Autism Centre
Dubai Autism Center provides specialist services for people with Autism and those who care for them. Volunteers are always welcome to provide help and support for individuals with Autism. Volunteers are essential part of the successful delivery of services at DAC. The centre would like to encourage everyone who is interested in Autism or involved in voluntary work to be a part of DAC. Emirates Arthritis Foundation
EAF is a non-profit organisation that contributes to the welfare of the entire region by providing an extensive range of events and programs to support arthritis patients.
The Emirates Arthritis Foundation has limited resources and therefore lack funding for the operational and marketing positions that normal organizations take for granted. They therefore look for volunteers who can help the foundation with their specialized skilled. Whether it be 2 hours a month of a Creative Director’s time to conceptualize an awareness campaign or 1 hour a week of a PR person’s time to put together a press release that will get picked up by the relevant media. If you wish to share your skill with them, please let them know how many hours you can give them and how you can help.

Feline Friends
Feline Friends is a non-profit making organisation that has been in existence since 1991. Feline Friends is fully funded by donations and supported by part-time volunteers. Feline Friends DOES NOT have a shelter; their remarkable volunteers foster our cats in their homes until they are adopted. If you care about the welfare of cats and kittens and want to support the never-ending work they do, please consider volunteering and/or making a donation. Gulf for Good has four main objectives which are to bring together Gulf nationals and residents in a good cause; to encourage people to push their own limits; to show people the value and enjoyment of motivation, commitment and helping others; to raise large sums for worthwhile projects.
Money raised through each challenge is spent on worthwhile child-related projects in the area in which the challenge takes place.

Hair for Hope Project aims to encourage women to cut off and donate their hair to organizations that make wigs for cancer patients who have lost their hair whilst undergoing their chemotherapy treatment.
K9 Friends
K9 Friends are totally dependent on contributions from the general public. They are run by a 5 member committee; a chairperson, treasurer, office manager, kennel manager and sponsorship coordinator. All of these posts are unpaid. They have around 40 regular volunteers who help in the shelter and office and others who help in specific areas such as vet runs, education and outside fund-raising events. K9 Friends relies on volunteers and always needs them!

Make a Wish

Riding for the Disabled Association Dubai
Therapeutic riding lessons run by volunteers. RDAD is a not for profit organisation and relies totally on assistance from individuals and organisations to keep the programme running. Support the awareness of their programme by volunteering to help.

Take My Junk is a private business that is run by a Canadian family who saw a need in the community to reduce waste and help lower income laborers and families by re-using unwanted items of furniture from residents leaving Dubai or the UAE. Sailability
Dubai Offshore Sailing Club (DOSC) Sailability is committed to giving people with disabilities the opportunity to learn to sail and they offer a structured sailing program to students from special needs schools. Sailability activities are designed to introduce and encourage people to participate in sailing activities in a safe and supportive environment, with Bronze, Silver and Gold Certificates of Achievement to mark progress.The Sailability program is primarily supported by DOSC and is run entirely by volunteers.

START
Start is a non-profit organisation which applies the universal language of art to heal, educate and enrich the skills and opportunities of children in the poorest areas of the Middle East. In the UAE START run workshops for children with special needs including Autism and Down Syndrome.
Volunteers help to support START workshops and educational projects in Jordan, Lebanon and the UAE. START works with artists, art students and non-art professionals as our volunteers and ambassadors. START welcomes any support; volunteers do not need an art background to participate.
