A New Season With Ripe
The UAE’s pioneering provider of local, seasonal, organic and fresh produce, is kicking off a new season in style with the return of their weekly Food & Craft Markets at a new and exciting venue, The Courtyard, located in the heart of Dubai’s culture capital, Al Quoz. The first market will take place on Saturday 6th October from 9am to 1pm and every Saturday thereafter.
Becky Balderstone, the founder and manager of Ripe is delighted to be commencing weekly markets at The Courtyard. She says, “I’ve been a regular visitor at The Courtyard for a long time and love it’s unique European vibe. There’s simply nowhere else like it in Dubai. Al Quoz is Dubai’s cultural hub. It has a great selection of cool cafes, contemporary art galleries and a thriving community buzz which makes it the perfect fit for Ripe’s markets.”
Stalls on offer will cater for everyone, foodies and non-foodies alike, from Ripe’s seasonal, organic produce and locally made cheese and chutneys, cakes, bakes and gluten-free items to lovely gift items from the UAE’s leading artisans. The overall market concept is to create a family-friendly environment for the community to browse and buy delicious and nutritious food, to support local farmers and to showcase the great artisanal talent in the UAE.
Ripe was launched a little over a year ago and has fast established itself as a firm favourite amongst UAE residents, locals and expats alike. In addition to a number of weekly markets is the Ripe Farm Shop in Umm Sequim 2 as well as an online order and home delivery facility. Ripe is also committed to playing an active role in the community with regular participation at local events and a soon-to-be-launched schools programme.
