Bags for Boots

Back in June we published an article about a local expat child Lachlan MacPherson who had the initiative to collect old football kits from people in Dubai with the aim to provide football kits for 100 students at a school near Kampala in Uganda. He named this charity drive “Kit Out Kids” and this month the fund-raising continues with a focus on your old bags! Kit out Kids are asking people to donate bags or purses which will be sold on November 10th and money raised will be used to buy Boots for the kids at Masooli Primary School.

To donate your bags go to the Kit Out Kids facebook page, leave a message and they will arrange to have the bags picked up. The sale is going to take place on Thursday November 17th at Villa 8, Street 35, Al Safa 2 (just off Al Manara) between 8.15am and 2.30pm.

The children at Masooli Primary School have had their feet measured and hopefully the boots will be delivered to them early December so now is the time to have a good clear-out and look through your wardrobe for all those unused bags which will be used to bring a smile to many budding footballers at Masooli Primary School.
