Social Media is the buzz word – if you have a product that you want the world to know about you must understand Social Media. Two years ago, the first Mashable Social Media Day in the UAE was held. It was an opportunity to share and celebrate all things social media.

This year UAE Social Media Day is being held on 30th June 2012 from 7pm onwards at the Arjaan by Rotana, Dubai Media City. Like the years before, no one person owns the event. It is NOT commercial. No money changes hands. There are no sponsorships. There is no entrance fee. This is an opportunity for small businesses and entrepreneurs to get in touch with the community through social media.

This is not another social media event nor is it a commercial PR event where sponsorship money will be exchanged. It’s an event by the community, for the community. It is an evening of raising awareness for SME creativity, Uniting People, Social Media Marketing, and Volunteering for Social Change.

For businesses, this will be an opportunity to highlight your business for free.
